When a paper shredder is used, paper dust is created and can coat the blades of your paper shredder. Not oiling a shredder can cause slower shredding rate and louder shredding noise(!!). It can even cause the shredder to function incorrectly. It is important to take great care of your shredder by regularly oiling your shredder blades with an official shredder lubricant.

There are several different ways to oil your shredders, you can use oil or lubricant sheets to lubricate your shredder. However, using oil is the easiest way. The shredder should be oiled once every two months to maintain good performance.

For best performance, it is recommended that you use Fellowes Shredder Oil.
